Hi I'm M.Peter Snyder

I grew up in California and Pennsylvania. I like traveling and recreation. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and lived in California for the first bit of my life, then moved to Pennsylvania for the rest of my childhood and adolescent years. I like to play football for fun, like astronomy and meteorology, and am a huge military buff as well. I am currently enrolled in BYU-Idaho, and have completed one semester already, but will not continue my education until I serve a mission for the church.

Why I am a Mormon

As a person who was born and raised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I never really can affiliate with anyone who has converted to the faith later in their lives, however, I have come across periods in my life where I have questioned my purpose in the church and my life here on Earth. From praying, studying the scriptures, and heeding the council of church leaders and my parents, I have come to a greater understanding of what the Lord desires of me, and how his plan is to deliver everyone up into a state of never ending happiness. This has truly testified to me that he unconditionally cares about everything we do here in this life, and how we can come to understand the blessings he has given us, and the many blessings he wants to give us later on.

How I live my faith

I participate in my congregations' services by teaching little children church principles each Sunday. I also visit families in our congregation to give them a message from the church's first presidency once a month. Also, I will soon be serving a mission for the Church in Utah, which will be a major stepping stone in my faith and my life as well.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

M.Peter Snyder
Joseph Smith is a highly regarded figure in church history, as he led the Church of Jesus Christ to being restored here on the Earth. However, we as members of the Church do not worship him, but we worship the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith had a very prominent role in helping restore all the keys of the church in these latter days, but he is in no way worshiped by the Church. Show more Show less
