Hi I'm McKay

I was raised in Burley, Idaho. I enjoy piano and disc-golf. I am serving a mission in St Petersburg Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing the piano - I have been playing for close to ten years now. I love disc golfing, and throwing discs in general. I have completed my first year of college, where I am considering pursuing a degree in either accounting or statistics. I love working with numbers and data. I enjoy nature: I love hiking to mountain peaks with my family or standing in wide open spaces.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I have not always known that it is true. It is easy to say something is true, but it is another to know it is. I can now sincerely say that I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. It is has been a lifelong experience coming to this point. I know that Christ lives. I know He loves everyone of us individually, and cares about our lives. I have felt His love, and I have felt it strengthen me as I have gone through difficult moments in my life. As I look back on my life, I can see the correlation between my activity in the church and the happiness I have in my life. Serving a mission is the hardest thing I have ever done. There is a lot of responsibility and a lot of work that goes into being a missionary. But it is all worth it, because as I have labored to learn the Russian Language and prepared and taught lessons, I have had the Spirit confirm to me time and time again that God loves me, that He loves me personally, and that He will help me through any trials that I experience in my life. I know that this Church is true.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings every week on Sunday. I often accompany the singing on the piano. While I was at college, I planned weekly activities for a group of people: we got to know each other better and had a great time as we completed service projects, played games, and spent time together. I am currently serving a mission in St Petersburg Russia.
