Hi I'm Rachel Lund

I am a big sister, an artist, and I'm proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a home centered on Jesus Christ and His teachings. I have three younger sisters who mean the world to me. My family moved around a lot throughout my childhood, which helped me learn to adjust to change. Now I have a large network of friends from many different places. I was often the only Mormon in my school which helped my testimony grow even stronger. I have a love for music and art. I play the trumpet, French horn, piano, and organ. I really enjoy drawing and painting, I think everything is better with color! I graduated high school in 2015 and studied for a semester at Tarleton State University. Now I am preparing to serve for 18 months in the Chile Rancagua Mission and I couldn't be more overjoyed! When I return, I will attend Brigham Young University in Idaho as a communications major. I know the Lord has a plan for each of us and I look forward to the future!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to grow up in the church and have obtained a testimony for myself through study and prayer that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's restored church that contains the fullness of the gospel on the earth today. I know we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows us each personally and orchestrated a plan that makes it possible for us to return to Him again. I know His son, Jesus Christ, is our Savior who came to earth to atone for our sins and heartaches. He died for us, and lives today! He is waiting for us with outstretched arms to come unto him and embrace His gospel. I know the Holy Ghost is a gift from God that is there to guide and comfort us as we keep the commandments and live righteously. I know the church was restored through Joseph Smith who is a prophet of God. I know we have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. He presides over the church and receives instruction from the Lord to help guide the world in these latter days. I know the Book of Mormon and Bible are both testaments of Jesus Christ that provide instruction to help us succeed in life. I testify that this gospel is true. This knowledge makes it possible for me to live a confident and happy life free from fear because I know I am a loved child of God and there is a plan for me.

How I live my faith

I strengthen and live my faith everyday as I strive to keep the commandments, study my scriptures and apply their teachings, and pray to my Heavenly Father to express my gratitude and ask for help. In our church, the members all work together to help everything run smoothly. I have been blessed with opportunities to serve by leading and playing the music in our congregation and teaching and planning activities for the youth and young adults. On my mission, I will get to share the gospel and my testimony of this glad message everyday as I serve the Lord and His children. I know that the best way to enrich our lives is through service and immersing ourselves in the Lord's work!
