Hi I'm Cassandra

I grew up in New York, I am a college student, I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter of a faithful woman who is strong in her beliefs. I was raised in a home where people are more important than things and showing our love for our Father in Heaven and Savior is essential. Hobbies: music, people, children, nature and my religion. I played violin and bass in high school. I love to travel and to meet new people. I am going to college. I am majoring in Elementary Education. Whether I am people watching or part of the action, I love it all. Although I come from a divorced family, it hasn't deterred me from my faith in family and the fact that there is plan that includes our families before this life and after--I know families are forever!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of His church because it feels right. I know that my Savior lives and that He loves me dearly, and He wants the best for me. There are times when I mess up or aren't doing all that I am supposed to do but I know that I get credit for trying and that when I do mess up, I can rely on His Atonement and through my faith in Him, I can become clean again. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me and that because He loves me and all of His children, He has a plan for us and has provided a way for us to return to Him someday. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to a boy, Joseph Smith, and directed him to restore Christ's church on the Earth again. I know all these things to be true because I have prayed to know and have received an answer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the simple way of being obedient to the Lord's Commandments, For example: I dress in a way that shows the Lord that I respect the body that He has given me, I try and keep the Sabbath day by observing His day with respect, and by praying daily for guidance and thanksgiving. I live my faith by trying to follow what the Lord wants me to do. While I was at college I was asked to be a Sunday School teacher, so I taught a lesson every other Sunday. It was a great way for me to get to know the people in my class and I learned so much preparing those lessons. I also tried to be a good visiting teacher, so I would contact the women that I was supposed to visit teach and talk to them and see how they were doing and I made some great friends by doing so. It is a great program.
