Hi I'm Emily Jensen

I'm in the 3% of families with 5 girls, I love all things blue, and I will serve in the Texas Lubbock Mission! And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm Emily and I love everything having to do with my family, tennis, school (I know, weird), and the flute. I attended BYU in Provo for a year and LOVED it! I'm headed out on my 18-month mission to the Texas Lubbock Mission (aka The Lord's Mission) and I can't wait!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the church is founded upon the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He loves us and because of that, He gives direction to our modern day prophet. My testimony of this church is founded in the Savior and the Book of Mormon, which gives another account of the Savior's ministry. I love this gospel and I know it is of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always striving to raise the bar. I try to challenge myself by reading the scriptures longer, smiling more, working harder, and praying earnestly. For me, it's all about showing Heavenly Father that I love Him and that I'm willing to go the extra mile for Him.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Emily Jensen
Mormon missionaries have the privilege of funding their own missions. The standard cost is $400 a month for all missions and missionaries. If unable to pay the cost of serving a mission, the prospective missionary can talk to his/her local leader and determine the best plan of action. It is wonderful to be able to assist in teaching the true gospel by helping fund a mission. It teaches principles of hard work, self-reliance, and independence. The Lord wants all able, worthy young men (young women are welcome to serve, but they are not required to) to serve a mission. The church missionary program testifies of the truthfulness of this gospel. If this church really is true, why wouldn't we share it? Show more Show less
