Hi I'm Brittney McCourt

I have been called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Yakima, Washington!

About Me

Hello! my name is Brittney and I am 19 years old. I am from Price, Utah but grew up here in New Mexico. I am currently going to school at New Mexico State University and am studying to become a physical therapist. I enjoy sports and other physical activities. I am a Mormon and have just recently been called to serve a mission in Yakima, Washington and am super excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I was inactive for a very long time and used to not consider myself as a Mormon so I understand what I is like to not have the gospel in my life. Being a Mormon sometimes is not easy, but the blessings I receive from being Mormon out weigh all of the struggles I go threw. This church and gospel has helped me so much in my life. Every time I read the Book of Mormon I get this sure feeling that what it is saying true and I feel so much peace and comfort. The gospel has truly made me strive to be the best person that I can be. I know that it is true, and I know that the path I am on now is one that my Heavenly Father is proud of.

How I live my faith

I was baptized in the Mormon church when I was 8 years old but I completely stopped practicing the faith when I was about 12. I started coming back to the church when I was about 16 and my faith and testimony has been growing ever since. As of now I serve in many different ways in the church. I teach Sunday school lessons to primary (children under the age of 12) every other Sunday and on the days I am not teaching primary I teach Relief Society (Women over the age of 18). I also am visiting teach to a few ladies in my ward and am called as the Young Single Adults Representative.
