Hi I'm Samantha

Like many Mormons I grew up in Utah. I love music, hiking, and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student working towards my bachelor degree. Like several students I have no idea what field I want to go into yet. Right now I'm considering occupational therapy or mechanical engineering. But who knows what the future will bring! You'll find that I'm happiest with my nose in a book, feet planted at the top of a beautiful hike, or making music. I love to travel, even though I haven't had very many opportunities to. I hope to someday volunteer in humanitarian work across the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings me peace, clarity, and hope. As I read the Book of Mormon I feel God's love for me and his love for all of his children. Being a Mormon has been an incredible blessing to me because I have found guidance for tough decisions. This guidance has come through the scriptures, promptings from the Holy Spirit, and counsel from living apostles and prophets. I'm a Mormon because I believe in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father, that Christ's church has been restored in its fullness to the earth, and that Christ suffered for everyone's sins and heartaches. I also know that God has a plan for me to return to live with him and my family after this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live a Christ-centered life. I have grown up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know for myself that this church is true. I read my scriptures, attend LDS temples, and serve my neighbors. Every Sunday I attend a three hour service with the rest of my congregation. At our Sunday services I am uplifted and refined as I learn of Christ, see the ways I need to change, and come to know how much God loves me and all of his other children. I often attend other meetings during the week as well that focus on serving the community or increasing personal growth.
