Hi I'm Lydia Lee

I grew up in Utah. I am a student at Southern Utah University. I've been called to serve as a missionary in Brazil. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved music. I started taking piano lessons when I was 8, and always have loved singing. I study voice at college now. I also like drawing and painting in my free time. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Christian.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a church of love. The values that the church has outlined, aside from everything else, teach its members to be good people. The thirteenth article of faith says, "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." Lorenzo Snow, a past prophet of the church said, "the whole idea of Mormonism is improvement mentally, physically, morally, and spiritually." This church contains the full truth. What a beautiful thing to be a part of. In Jesus Christ, I have found new life. Hallelujah.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the little things. The little things are daily prayer and scripture study, weekly church and meeting attendance, regular temple attendance, and being kind to everyone. Being kind and serving others is so important, because that's how the Savior taught while He was on the earth. You never know what someone else is going through. Marjorie Hinckley once said, "There isn't a person you wouldn't love if you could read their story." I also live my faith by serving in my church callings. I was just released as a ward missionary in my college ward, where I was able to go to discussions with the Elders serving in my stake. I have been released from that calling in order to accept my new calling as a full time missionary. I leave to serve my mission this summer! I am so excited to share the hope, happiness and truth of this gospel with those I will be serving.
