Hi I'm Savannah

I grew up in Alabama. I love horseback riding. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been called to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Washington Seattle mission. I will preach the gospel in the Russian language to anyone my companion and I may find that speaks Russian. I leave for my mission on June 1, 2016. I attended a small private school in my hometown of Dothan, Alabama called Houston Academy. After that, I was accepted into Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I spent two semesters there before deciding to serve a mission. My hobbies are horseback riding and photography. I have ridden horses since I was 8 years old, and I have a horse named Rocky. He was my absolute best friend all throughout middle and high school. I love animals in general. They were the reason I started photography. Now I am pursuing a degree in the Photography BFA program at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into it, but over the years, I developed a testimony and decided that I love the gospel so much! Each little experience that I have had that has strengthened my testimony has gradually increased it day after day. I know that this church is true and I love the people of this church. Every day I am inspired to improve and become more Christlike. I love being a member of a church that encourages selflessness, service, self-improvement, humility, honestly, and all other Christlike attributes. We know that no one is perfect, save Christ, but through him, we can become exalted.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church and following the words of the prophet. When I make mistakes, I try my best to repent and move on. My family is a wonderful example to me on how to use the gospel in my life to serve and love others. Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of how we should be living our faith. Every day I am striving to become more like Christ as I read about his example in the Bible and Book of Mormon.
