Hi I'm Sidney Bullock

I'm just your regular girl trying to endure life's challenges well. I believe in Christ with all my heart and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi I'm Sid the Kid. I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I was also born with a condition called Cystic Fibrosis, which affects my digestion/absorption and lung function. So call me a double case of different! Cystic Fibrosis is a weird disease because I can't be around other CF kids unless they are my direct siblings. With CF I have to do daily breathing treatments and airway clearance and I need to take 6 pills with every meal I eat! My sweet sister Bailey also had CF and she passed away at the age of 5 from meningitis. Although there have been a lot of setbacks with my CF I have an undying love for triathlons, running and really anything that makes me sweaty! Just recently my nephew was diagnosed with CF and the doctors advised me not to have any contact with him because we aren't direct siblings. Whenever I see him I have to wear a mask to protect him from anything I might breathe on him. I can never hold him or play with him. Of all of the challenges that have come with this disease, this one has been one of the hardest for me and my family to endure. But sweet is the knowledge this gospel brings that as a family we are together forever. I will one day be with my sister Bailey again and through the grace of Jesus Christ she, my nephew and I will be healed of all sickness in the life to come and that every wrong in this life will one day be made right through the justice and mercy of our loving God.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know too much to leave! There are so many great religions in the world that have inspired leaders. I believe so strongly that there is light in every religion. That being said this is what makes The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the only true church: it is the only church on the Earth with the correct priesthood authority to baptize and perform other sacred saving ordinances. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith by the power of God in the United States. We believe that the United States was divinely established in order to provide religious freedom for all people and in doing so, provide a promised land to bring the Lord's church to the Earth again. We have a modern prophet on the earth and 12 apostles that are called and upheld by the Lord just as in the days of old. We believe that we are all capable of receiving personal revelation from God for our own lives and that we may have a personal relationship with our Father in Heaven through prayer. We believe that families can be together forever and that God has a plan of happiness for each one of us wherein we can all obtain salvation if we obey His Will.

How I live my faith

In our church, from day one we are taught the precious truth that we are all children of God, and that God our Father loves us unconditionally. In fact, the first song we learn as little kids is "I am a Child of God". Seriously, any Mormon you meet could sing all three verses of this song by memory. As I grew up and faced the challenges of being a punk kid, on the worst days at least I KNEW that even if the kids in my class didn't like me I had a Father in Heaven that loved me. The teachings and standards provided in this gospel saved me from a lot of destructive decisions and at my worst saved me after destructive decisions. Every person deserves to know the truth of these things. Because I feel this so strongly, I am dedicating the next 18 months of my life to give this knowledge to EVERY person I encounter. In a few short weeks I will be leaving my home to serve a mission! A mission to give the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to all of God's children, because He loves all of His children equally and all deserve to know the TRUTH.
