Hi I'm Christopher Leighton

I'm Canadian. Im currently serving in England Manchester. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently spent a lot of time working on my car in our garage. I like to customize it and repaint it. I get great satisfaction when I'm able to stand back and look at the finished product, and i very much enjoy the journey or creating that perfect design i have in my head. Growing up i liked to try a little bit of everything. I've participated in basketball, soccer, badminton, track and field, gymnastics, parkour, downhill biking, snowboarding, skiing, and whatever else i was given an opportunity to try. I have 3 sibling, all younger then me, and occasional we have a good time without arguing with each other! Im now 20 years old and I'm waiting for June 15th when im able to leave for my mission to Manchester England. Ive excited to serve there because my close cousin served in Birmingham. I know that a mission is the next step for me in this life and i cant wait to get out there and share this wonderful Gospel with people.

Why I am a Mormon

Im a Mormon because i love the joy and happiness that the Gospel bring in my life. Ive tried other things of this world to try and find happiness, but I've never felt the kind of joy i do when i do the right thing and stay true to this gospel. The happiness we get is everlasting. Its blessed me and my family and people around me. I know that if i keep the commandments that god will bless me forever.

How I live my faith

Every day is a struggle for me. Satan is trying everything he can to distract me from my mission. There are 3 simple things that keep me in line and help me stay focused, and we all know what those 3 things are. Pray, Read, and go to Chruch. They are so simple, but i have a firm testimony that they are the 3 key things to becoming closer to Christ. They have helped me with my attitude and how i treat those around me. This Gospel is simple enough for a young child to understand, all we need to do is open our hearts and accept it.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being Mormon is like adopting thousands of other people into your family. Your fellow members are there for you, they are supportive, they are your friends, they are your family. Show more Show less
