Hi I'm Chuck

I'm a dad of five with six grand kids. I'm a teacher and want to help others understand what I believe. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My wonderful wife and I have five children and now six grand children. I am an administrator and teacher at a local college and my wife is the office manager of the athletic's department. We love to run, bike and eat lots of veggies! We've done a few marathons but have now taken up walks and biking for our exercise and to keep our heads clear! For a hobby, my kids and I create and manage WordPress sites for portfolios and small businesses. We also enjoy watching movies, particularly action (me) and romance (her) themes, whenever we get the chance!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Short answer? Because my Heavenly Fathers has confirmed to me, many times, that this is his son's church (Christ's church) restored in its fullness for these latter-days. Long answer? I've seen how the doctrines of the church have changed peoples lives. I've seen the joy in other's faces as they come to have personal relationships with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, especially in my kids. I've read the Book of Mormon and received a witness that it is scripture. Same witness as for the Bible, Joseph Smith and the current living prophets and apostles. I've heard and read their teachings and I know they are truth. The greatest part of it is Heavenly Fathers wants all of his kids to know this and that His promise works! If you will read the Book of Mormon, ask in sincere prayer if it is His word through His prophets, He will tell you! You don't have to believe me, you don't have to believe others. Your Heavenly Father, who loves you and wants you to know Him, will tell you directly to your heart. And you will know, you will just know!

How I live my faith

I've been a Mormon my whole life and enjoyed parents who lived and raised me with a strong faith in Christ. I am so happy with my relationship with Him as he helps me everyday! He answers my prayers and helps me through difficult times with inspiration and "big hugs"! My wife and I have tried to pass this knowledge and faith on to our kids. And I think we have done okay. They are all great kids! I really get a lot of happiness from my family, but also from being involved in my local LDS (Mormon) congregation. No one in the church is paid, so we all help out. The church provides great training and manuals on how to do things. This way the church is the same no matter where you go in the world. I've taught adult Sunday classes, youth classes, had leadership roles, been a missionary, but the most satisfying and most difficult was being the Scoutmaster for six years. Really enjoyed watching those boys grow into really good leaders. Actually it was a great excuse to get outdoors, get some fresh air and to cook fresh caught fish (or crayfish) over an open fire! Yum!
