Hi I'm Steve Felsted

I am a grandfather with 15 grandchildren. I have been married to a person I absolutely adore, for over 40 years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young grandfather, with 15 grandchildren. All 5 of my children are married. I am physically active. I like to swim for exercise and snow ski and play golf with my wife for fun. I played guitar in a band during my college days, and still pick it up to sing and play for my wife, and grandchildren. I retired a year ago, from a career in finance and financial planning.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a good family that taught me correct principles in my youth. When I turned 19, I was called to serve a two year mission for the LDS church. It was during that time when my awakening came, from reading and praying earnestly about the Book of Mormon. My wife and I struggled with a wayward child during her teen years. At that time our faith and prayers helped us so much to know what to do. I believe the Mormon faith has everything to do with my happiness and direction in my life, and the lives of our children and their families.

How I live my faith

The most important thing I have done to exercise my faith is in my own family. My faith has helped me so much, to teach my children my values and to honor and respect their mother. We have worked to have a really good marriage. The best service to my community has been in a youth correctional facility through my church. My wife and I spent 6 years teaching basic Christian principles to over 900 incarcerated youth. It was so soul satisfying to help them understand how because of our Savior they could repent, forgive, heal relationship and change.
