Hi I'm Jeremy Rawlins

I'm Californian born and raised. I've been called to serve in the North Carolina, Raleigh Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the son of two incredible parents, and the second of four kids, whom I consider my best friends. I love music with a passion and have made it my life for the past 19 years. Whether it be piano lessons, singing in church and school choirs, leading my high school band as Drum Major, or playing the saxophone, music has been the thing that brings me joy in ways that nothing else can. A close second to music is nature. My earliest memories are of exploring the vast world of my backyard as a toddler (my parents had a tough time keeping me indoors). That love of adventure has not dwindled in the slightest; camping, kayaking, exploring, it's the best. I also love helping people. I just completed my first year of college at BYU and am working towards Medical school with the goal of becoming a cardiologist. I've been blessed with so much in my life and want to bless the lives of others. I'll have the opportunity to devote my life to service over these next years as I serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A few years ago I had the opportunity to perform in the Nauvoo Pageant, a quote in that production that has stuck with me and become my life motto is, "I will rest, in God's kingdom, but let me built it first." At my core I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, he loves me, I love him and through his love I can love all those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I choose to be. I grew up in the church and relied on my parents testimony for a long time growing up, but there eventually came a time where I needed to know for myself what I believed. I prayed to know if my Heavenly Father knew me, and if my Savior Jesus Christ had truly suffered for my sins, and I received an answer. I'm Mormon because it makes me happy; it gives me confidence and allows me to find peace in the midst of turmoil. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has given me the knowledge that despair can become hope and regret can become relief. I'm a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ has walked alone and because of that and because of Him, I never need to.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday as I strive to emulate my savior Jesus Christ and become more like him. I served in my college ward as a Men's Sunday school instructor. Currently I am serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Raleigh North Carolina. For the next two years I will be serving the people of Raleigh and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them.
