Hi I'm Terrin

I have lived in Texas for most of my life and love being with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Terrin. There are several things that I like to do that have had a big impact on my life. First of all I love to play sports or be involved in any activity that has to do with good clean fun. A couple of the main sports that I like are football and running cross country or triathlons. I also love spending time with my family. Some of the activities we enjoy include playing board games, having movie nights, and going to fun places for vacation. They always watch out for me and want what is best. I love working with children. In fact, working at the YMCA made it so that I was able to work with little kids all of the time. Children are always happy and help bring joy into my life. Church has also had a huge impact on my life. Right now, I'm getting ready to go on a mission to Brazil real soon for two years. I am very excited to be able to go serve and grow to love the people of Brazil. After I get back off of my mission I plan on going to college and specializing in a career where I can work with children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was actually born into a family where my parents were members of the church. Even though I grew up in a Mormon family, I have learned and been taught that it is very important for everyone to find the truth for themselves. I am very glad that I have been able to be blessed with the gospel in my life. It has had such a big impact on me and I've learned that being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is much more than just attending church on Sunday - it is taking the principles you have learned and making them a way of life. One of the principles that means a lot to me is knowing that families can be together forever. I am the youngest of four children and I had a brother and sister that have passed away in-between me and my oldest brother. Through personal experience and study I know that families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

Living my beliefs is a way of life because it effects everything that I do. I try to live my faith all the time and I can best do this through being a good example and living my beliefs. I have been asked a lot of questions about the church and my beliefs from many of my friends, other kids I have played sports with or go to school with, and by co-workers. There have been several times I have had to make the decision to remove myself from certain environments or activities so I don't compromise my values. I am thankful for being taught that it is ok to stand up for what I believe in even if the world believes differently. My faith has helped me become a better person and make wiser decisions.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Terrin
Families are so important because they are central to God's plan for his children. They allow children to come into the world and be a part of good families where they can learn and grow. We also believe families are very important because families can be together forever, not for just this life but for all of eternity. I know that families being able to be together forever is very important to me because I had a brother and sister that have passed away, but it's not a sad thing because I know they're in a better place and I will be able to be with them again for all of eternity. I'm so thankful for my family and I love them with all my heart. Show more Show less
