Hi I'm Katherine

I grew up in Utah. I am a world traveler. I am an older sister, a daughter, and a granddaughter. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah for most of my life, but I am a little unique in that both of my parents have thriving careers. When my mother's job took my family to Warsaw, Poland, I was thrilled. As a natural adventurer, I love exploring new cultures and people. Living in Poland made me realize how different my life was from my peers'. I stood out, and I felt isolated in my faith. However, as I drew closer to the LDS church, I found peace and comfort. The LDS faith has allowed me to get through the highest and lowest points of my life, and living outside of Utah made me proud and set in my religion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that there is a God that loves us and knows each of us personally. I know that God is our Heavenly Father, and he wants us to be happy. I know that Jesus Christ was the Savior of the world, and He died for our sins. The rest of the LDS gospel makes sense to me. The LDS church has many answers to life that everyone seeks at one time or another. I have a purpose in life. It just makes sense that my Heavenly Father would have a plan for me called the Plan of Happiness. I know that if I do my very best and follow God's commandments that I can be together with my family forever. I want that blessing of forever for myself, and I feel strongly that everyone on the planet deserves a chance to hear about the LDS gospel, because it has answers to all of life's existential questions. I share this in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith makes me stand out from the world. I also stand out in my church. Because both my parents work and my mother often travels for her job, I am heavily involved in my family's life. My family is the number one priority in my life. In my church, I have often served in Family History Centers. I have helped others discover their family histories, and I take great joy in it. The common theme in my life is the importance of family. I have decided to serve a mission, and have been called to serve the people of Taibei, Taiwan. I hope that I can bring happiness into people's lives the way I have received happiness: through the gospel of Jesus Christ
