Hi I'm Wendy

I am a wife and mother of 6. I am an artist and I'm active in many sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I paint in oils and sculpt. I am very involved in many sports, like skiing, surfing, and playing pickleball. I also love to knit. I'm about to become a grand mother for the first time.

Why I am a Mormon

I like the hope and happiness that comes from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It feels right. I enjoy the feeling that God is aware of me and my family and loves us. I want to always do what He wants me to do and continue to feel close to Him.

How I live my faith

Once a week, I do service for others by serving in the temple. I like to do family history research also, so I can find out more about my ancestors. I like to find ways to connect my children with family from our past. For example, I searched our family lines back to Ireland so I could get a knitting pattern from our family Clan. Then I knitted a sweater from our clan, so the stitches have meaning and tell a story of our family. Last year, I did line drawings of many of our ancestors and made them into a coloring book with little facts about each person at the bottom of the pages. I bound these books and gave them to all of my nieces and nephews for Christmas. I think our ancestors like to be remembered and I want my children to feel connected to the other generations.
