Hi I'm Corbin

I'm a Texan, a fisherman, a cyclist, I love motocross, I've gone 160 mph in a car, I enjoy being outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I enjoy salt water fishing and i enjoy hunting. I like working on cars and motorcycles when I get time and I like to see just how fast they can go before it gets dangerous... yes 160 mph is dangerous. I enjoy being outdoors whether it is camping or just enjoying nature. I ran on the Varsity Cross Country team during high school and got into cycling shortly before leaving on my mission. I am serving a two year mission for my church in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission. I plan on attending BYU- Idaho when I am through with my mission, and I plan on studying Construction Management. I worked for a construction company as a framer for 2 years while I was in high school, i really love building things and working with my hands. I was born in the church and was baptized when I turned 8. I struggled with some of the church doctrine and realized that I couldn't rely solely on the testimonies of others, so I prayed to Heavenly Father and studied the scriptures and found it to be the true church of Jesus Christ. My parents were members their entire lives and I have relatives that can be traced back to when the church began. It is a huge blessing to me to look back in my genealogy and see the faithful members of my family that have gone before me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the church. I know that this is the true church because I have prayed to know for myself and gain my own testimony to know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to serve a mission. It is a difficult decision to leave life behind for 2 years, especially when I see my friends beginning their lives in college and seeing things that they're doing, but a mission is something that the young men are asked and expected to do in our church. Teaching the gospel does bring great blessings not only to the lives of the missionaries but also to the people that we teach. Before I came out on my mission I showed my faith by serving faithfully in my calling in the church. I was the 11 year old scout leader and I was also a home teacher. I really enjoyed both of those callings!

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, Mormons worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Mormons believe that Joseph Smith restored Christ's original church back on the earth is these latter days. He played a very significant role in bringing back the same truths that Jesus Christ taught as well as the priesthood power that Christ had. Show more Show less
