Hi I'm Elizabeth

I love reading, music and this amazingly beautiful world. My family means the world to me and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four sons, grandmother to six, and am married to the best man ever! I love to read almost anything, listen to classical and big band music, and love being outside. I did not grow up camping or hunting, but my sweetheart taught me to love being out in nature with my family. I am currently learning to shoot a bow and love it. I am a pretend athlete. I love swimming, biking and running, and yes, at my old age I have completed things I never dreamed possible. I am lucky enough to work at our local high school where I get to associate with amazing young people every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live and that they love each one of us. It does not matter who we are or where we come from. They love us. Heavenly Father loves us so much that he sent Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. Because of Christ's atonement I know that we can return and live with our families in Heaven if we repent when we do something wrong. I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me peace and happiness. I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but I have come to know for myself that these teachings are true. My testimony did not come overnight. It grows each day through study and prayer. After reading the Book of Mormon I wanted to know if it was true. I knelt down and asked Heavenly Father if it was true. I had a strong confirmation come into my mind and heart that it is true. Through study and prayer I have learned other truths; like knowing that we have a living prophet to guide and direct us and knowing that Heavenly Father and Jesus love us. I am so grateful for the witness which has been born to me, and I testify that if you have a desire to know, and if you ask with real intent, Heavenly Father will answer your prayers. We are not alone, and we can find peace and happiness here on earth!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily effort. I feel that if I try to live as Jesus wants me to, I am living my faith. I try to be kind others, read my scriptures and serve others. I live my faith by sharing what I have learned and know with others. I have had the opportunity to teach others from the ages of 3 and up what I know and love about Jesus and Heavenly Father.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is like belonging to a very large family. I know that I can ask my brothers and sister to help me in times of need because I know that they love me. Being a Mormon means I have an even larger family to rely on. I can ask any of the people I know who go to church with me to help, and I know that they will be there because they also love me. We are all brothers and sisters in the gospel. We all belong to God's family. Being a Mormon means trying to extend your love to all those around you and spreading the light of Christ wherever you may be. I love the feeling I have the opportunity to share the light of Christ with others. Show more Show less
