Hi I'm Jessica

I'm from Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Riverton High School in 2015. In the fall, I attended Utah Valley University for a semester, and there decided to serve a mission and to do an abroad program. I ended up going to Kyiv, Ukraine the following Spring semester in 2016 with the International Language Program. I had opportunities to travel to many different countries and absolutely became addicted to traveling! I fell in love with Kyiv, the people, and the culture. I loved my time there more than I can explain! I opened my mission call while in Kyiv, and read that I would return to Ukraine and serve in the Dnepropetrovsk Mission! I am home, in Utah, for the summer enjoying this time with my family before I head back to my second home! I am so excited to begin my mission at the end of the summer!

Why I am a Mormon

My answer to this is simple. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know it is true. I am a Mormon because living by the standards of the church and keeping the commandments makes me truly happy. I am a Mormon because I've noticed that when I'm not happy; when I'm down or just having a bad day, it is because I didn't invite the spirit into my life one way or another. I am a Mormon because being so gives me purpose, joy, peace, and guidance. Why would I turn away from something that has only improved my life?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by thinking of creative ways to serve in my community, like by writing encouraging notes and leaving them on strangers' cars and such. I'm a big believer in the difference small things can make. Things such as a phone call, a text message, a smile, or spending time with someone. I find that these are the ways I most enjoy serving, and they are so simple, and often the things I feel prompted to do.
