Hi I'm Eden

I was born and raised a Utah Latter-Day Saint. I am a single mother (with the help of my mother) and in the military.

About Me

I am the youngest of eight with five brothers and two sisters. I prefer to be where the buildings aren't too tall and where you can go for a walk or jog and hit a dirt path. I love the outdoors, spending time with my family, listening to music and reading. Once I get at it I enjoy going to the gym and working out. If there is time to kill taking a road trip is the way to do it. My work has permitted me to travel a little throughout the states and other parts of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, born and raised, but it wasn't until recently that I have started converting to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Although I have some questions regarding certain doctrines or past practices I have never doubted that the Lord has declared this His one true church. When I was younger I could feel His Spirit about me. As I grew up and started finding reasons not to go to church or read the scriptures I could no longer feel it. Not to say that I had lost that gift, I could just no longer recognize it. Without that guidance I followed the world when I finally took a step out into it. The result was a pregnancy out of wedlock and a son who is currently growing up without a father. The church is big on families. Families, as we all come know, are forever and the purpose of this life. I am currently away from home. I miss my son more than any of the other times I've been away. At this same time I am watching those around me and hearing the news of this world - as it is surely in its last days - and I want nothing more than to succeed as a Daughter of God and be the mother to my son that he deserves. So I pick up my scriptures and not only do I read them but I study them and highlight the verses that ring true to my life at this time. I download talks given by the prophets and apostles and they are added to my Ipod to play randomly throughout the day. His church, after all, is not just a Sunday church. It takes work; serving our Father in Heaven. Why am I a Mormon? Because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

Before this last deployment I had a calling in the cub scouts and I would go and visit with other members of the church. How do I live my faith? Loving all. Respecting all. Charity goes a long way as well as conducting myself in a manner befitting a member of His church. Of late, I have deleted much from my media library. It occurred to me that the occasional swearing and little innuendo can go a long way in making one susceptible to the noises of the world.
