Hi I'm Tiana Mae Mahealani Slack

I was born in Kauai, Hawaii. I grew up in San Diego, California. I love sports. I played softball and rugby. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing anything outdoors! Fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking! I love working out and being fit! I am a huge Red Sox's fan! I am a photographer.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel has blessed my life in so many ways. I know who I am. I am a daughter of God and he loves me and everyone of his children. Death is not the end. This is life after this world. We will be able to be with our families and loved ones again. But my favorite doctrine of this gospel is the Atonement. Its real. God is real and if we fully use the atonement and truly repent of our sins. He will forgive. He will make us whole again. I know its hard and sometimes it seems like it is impossible to overcome this natural man that we all have inside us, but God can help us to become better. He can help us to change. A lesson that I have learned and we will continue to be reminded of is turning your life over to God. And submitting your will to his. Once we recognize that we cant do this alone and that we need his help and humble ourselves, that's when everything falls into place. God see the whole picture. He has an individual plan for each and everyone of us.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is, not being afraid to talk about with friends and others who are not of this faith. And by doing the simple things, like reading my scripture, praying, attending the temple and church.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Tiana Mae Mahealani Slack
We are all not prefect. We make mistakes. We are only human. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ knew this, so they gave us the Atonement .So that we can be forgiven from the mistakes and sins that we do. He suffered and atoned for all of the sins, afflictions, and sicknesses of this world. The Atonement is not just for repenting for our sins, but it also is for comforting us when we are scared or nervous. And it is also for healing us when we are sick or have an affliction, but we need to have faith. Faith in Christ and his almighty power. Faith that we can be healed. When we have faith in him, that's when miracles and blessing start to happen. If Christ didn't atone for all of the sins of the world, he wouldn't be able to truly understand us, how we feel, and what we are going through. Because he did this, he knows exactly how you and I feel. He been through the trials, tribulations, hardships that we are facing, because he's been through them. In Alma 7:11, it says, And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. 12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
