Hi I'm Noble Hwang

I grew up in Chicago. I love music and learning about the world we live in. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving as a missionary in the California Los Angeles Mission. I love teaching people and helping them learn. I believe that knowledge empowers people, and that's especially true with the gospel! Even more than teaching new things, I love to learn new things! Studying the scriptures and the words of the prophets is something I have a deep love for. I am also absolutely in love with music! I love just about every type of music, and so I try to play as much music as I can. I've played cello for over 13 years and I've also played piano and sung in choirs. After serving as a missionary, I plan on studying Physics at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me hope. Hope that heaven's within my reach, hope that I can make it through my challenges. That's something that I find it really hard to live without. I see a lot of people who have a really hard time because they feel that they need to shoulder all of their trials alone. But the fundamental truth is that you don't need to! There is someone out there who knows how you feel and can help you get past it. I love the gospel and I love my Savior for the mercy and grace He has shown me throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I try to turn outwards for the right reasons. The Savior showed the perfect example of selfless service. Even in His most difficult and uncomfortable moments, He was concerned about others. His love for each of us and His desire for all of us to be happy exceeded all else within Him. He, in turn, commanded us to love each other as He loved us and to do so with pure intent and without hypocrisy. So when I am faced with problems and concerns, I try to follow His example and turn my focus to others. At first, doing so might not seem to make sense, but I find that when I focus on my problems, they seem to grow in size! On the other hand, I find that as I strive to lose myself in the service of others, I feel that God sends the help that I need. It's definitely a little scary and takes a little faith, but what better way to try to trust the Savior more!
