Hi I'm Mary

As a child, I lived all over the United States AND Japan. Now I've lived in the same house for 37 years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 16. I have a degree in English literature and I love to read. Isn't there always time to read! I enjoy being a part of my grandchildren's lives. During the summer of 2016, my husband and I served as volunteers in Nauvoo, Illinois, which is one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I discovered the church as a senior in high school and realized that its teachings were what I had believed all my life. I have learned to appreciate more and more the role of Joseph Smith in establishing the church. I am grateful for the Lord Jesus Christ and the love He has for me. I am grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and how I can strive to be better as I live the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching in the church, whether it be with children, youth, or adults. I was a Cub Scout leader for 13 years: I may have learned more than the Cubs! I have found great fulfillment in discovering my ancestors, learning who they were and the challenges they faced.
