Hi I'm Steve

I was born in Nagoya Japan. I moved around the world since my dad was in the military living in Oklahoma, Texas and California.

About Me

I love the outdoors and hiking in the mountains, snow skiing, water-skiing, golf and mountain biking. I have 6 boys that are all grown up now with 2 of them married and I have 2 grandsons. I love my family and love it when we can all get together during the year. They come and visit me several times a year in California and we love going to the beach together to enjoy the waves and sun.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints because the church is such a great vehicle for finding ways to serve others. Service is at the core of membership in the church. Most of everything we do is to serve others, to lighten the burden of others, to help others find peace and meaning in life. My youngest son is in Ecuador right now serving as a missionary. My other sons have taken 2 years our of their lives to service missions in Denmark, Brazil, Virginia and Florida. They call came back with a better understanding of how to serve others and do it the way the Savior served, with love.

How I live my faith

I am currently in the Sunday School Presidency and teach the youth many Sundays. I love teaching the youth and share with them my testimony.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Steve
The Book of Mormon to me is a source of revelation and peace. I have read it every year for the last 20 years and every time I read it I learn something new. Show more Show less
