Hi I'm Sara Jane Leonard

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I'm a world traveler. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student preparing to serve a mission. My major is Industrial Design, which focuses on creating products that function and look aesthetically pleasing. I love to cook, bake, and try new foods. I am creative and artistic. I have traveled to several countries in Europe and hope to go back soon. I love meeting new people and making friends.

Why I am a Mormon

For all of my life I have been a part of the LDS Church. My parents taught me at a young age to be honest, kind to others, and try to be like Jesus Christ. Since then I have been baptized, grown up, and developed my own testimony of the gospel. My baptism was the first time I felt the Spirit and I did not want it to be the last. So I took action and went to church, prayed to God, and read my scriptures. I continue to do these things today and they have helped me during so many hard times of my life. I have also come to understand that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father understand what we're going through and they have provided a way for us to return to live with them and our families forever. This is because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ; we can forgive and become clean again. I am also grateful for temples and the blessings that I receive from going inside them. Basically, I am Mormon because it makes me happy and I love the joy and peace this gospel brings in my life. I love my family and do not know where I would be without them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my assigned callings and being a follower of Christ. This past year in my ward I participated by helping a committee plan service projects. Some of the service projects were: making valentines for children in hospitals and cleaning up a nearby park. I also participated by visiting young women each month to see how they were doing and share a spiritual thought with them. For the next 18 months, I will be living my faith by serving as a full-time missionary in Canada.
