Hi I'm Claire

I am enthusiastic and optimistic about life. I love math and singing with my sisters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently just finished my first year of college! I aim to study Biomedical Engineering in the future. When I was in high school, I realized that I liked the challenge of my math classes and decided that that could be a great way to build upon the talents that I have. I love being able to appreciate the beautiful world around me and frequently find myself outside on hikes. Learning has always been one of my joys. I like to learn a little bit about every subject. I also love to practice the piano and listen to classical music. Soon I will be serving a mission in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and will be the first of my immediate family to do so. I am ready and excited to serve and love seeing opportunities to help my family and other families see the blessings that the gospel can bring.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I have lived as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for our whole lives. Growing up, I was able to attend church, be taught by my parents in our home, have opportunities to lead within my community, and grow with my siblings and friends. I feel grateful for all I was able to learn as I grew up. Along this journey however, there were many moments where I could have chosen to not be a member. I had questions, and so I took my own journey to find out for myself that what I had been taught and that what I lived was true. I read the Book of Mormon sincerely, and sought for truth when I prayed. I continued to live following Christ's example and took action because of faith. I know that this gospel is true and that it brings the greatest happiness because I've been able to feel in my heart that it is true through the witness of the Holy Ghost. I choose to continue to be a member of the church because I know what I've felt and come to know are true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that his atonement is for me and for everyone. I know that the church is led by true prophets and apostles on the earth today. I feel God's love and know that He never leaves anyone alone. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I also know that living the gospel won't always be easy. We will grow and have experiences that will bring us closer to Christ. I know the gospel can always get us through difficult times. My testimony brings me purpose in life. I know that I am a daughter of God, and that everyone has that divine identity. I've found so much joy through knowing who I am and where I still have left to go. I look forward to being able to share the gospel on my mission to families so that they can also feel and know for themselves the peace and joy that comes through being a member of the church and living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel because it is possible to live it in all areas of my life. In my ward currently, I have been able to serve as a music chorister in Sunday meetings. I love being able to share my testimony and being able to praise and honor our Savior through singing. I've found that through each calling I've had, I've been able to learn many new things and be in a better position to serve people in my community. I've also loved being able to live my faith within my family. Together we work hard, learn to love, pray together, and support each other. We study the scriptures together and try to live to the best of our abilities what we have been taught. There are always new things to learn and opportunities to grow.
