Hi I'm Gary Edmunds

I have been a member of the church my whole life, I married my best friend and love being a Grandpa. I love my life.

About Me

I was raised in a traditional family that believed in a loving Heavenly Father who continues to bless us. I fell in love with a beautiful girl who shares the same beliefs and we raised a great family. Our children have given me a chance to be a grandpa, which has been one of my greatest joys. I believe I was placed on this earth to prepare to return my Heavenly Father and to be a grandpa to help those precious little ones that I have been entrusted to be an example to. We live in a cabin in the mountains and have wild Elk, moose, bear and deer all around our house. I have made friends with squirrels, chipmunks, chickadees and hummingbirds and feed them by hand. I have woodworking skills and enjoy making log furniture in my garage with the trees we have around our home. It gives me a chance to create different things that have become useful as gifts and items in our home. I spend the winters snowmobiling in the beautiful mountains and canyons around our home and riding atv's in the summers. I have two horses that I ride in the Uinta mountains with my 84 year old father in law,my children and my grand children. I am in awe of the beauty around me and marvel at natures gifts. It is truly a wonderful world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed in Jesus Christ as my Savior. As a small child my parents instilled in me a love of Him and a trust in what He accomplished for the children of God in the garden of Gethsemane. It is humbling to know of the love He has for me and the personal sacrifice he did for me. I know He knows me and forgives me of my imperfections and is pleased with my efforts to do as good as I can. He expects me to help others and to serve people as He would. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ and love Him with all my heart. That is why I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

How I live my faith

I am a ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple and consider that one of my choicest blessings. I also had the chance to serve in the Jordan River Temple. We are leaving in July, 2016 for a mission in Fiji. I have planned on this mission with my wife for 42 years. I have been serving in a priesthood group leadership in our ward. We will be serving in the mission field while two of our grandsons are also serving. I will be a third generation missionary with my grandparents and my parents serving when I was younger. Also my two sons, one daughter and four son in laws who have served. With my wife I also serve as a home teacher to some wonderful families in our ward.
