Hi I'm Clayton

I grew up in Star Valley, Wyoming on a small dairy farm. I was born into a Mormon family and was baptized when I was 8 years old.

About Me

I was raised on a dairy farm in beautiful Star Valley, Wyoming. After graduating from high school I attended Ricks College in Idaho. After graduation I served a two year mission for the LDS church in British Columbia and Alaska. I then attended and graduated from BYU with a degree in Elementary Education. I got a job in Evanston, Wyoming teaching in the elementary schools. While there I met and married a wonderful young lady who was also teaching. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We had 4 daughters which we raise in Evanston. We lived in Evanston for 35 years until retirement in 2005. We moved to Star, Idaho and have been living there since then.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, but that is not the reason I stayed with the faith. Over the years the experiences that I have had with the church and with studying the scriptures have strengthened my testimony of the church. They say that you should read the Book of Mormon to find out if it is true. I have done that. I have read it many times and I know that it is true. Serving in the church and seeing how the Gospel has helped others has helped me in gaining a strong belief in the church. I could live no other way the church is my life.

How I live my faith

I have been very active in my church, have worked in the church in many different callings. While in Evanston my wife and I enjoyed attending church with our four daughters. It was a highlight of the week to attend church or church activities. It was a wonderful way of life which kept me involved with other people and the community. Since retirement we had more free time and this made it possible for us to work in the temple. We also have been able to work with our family history on Family Search. We are now preparing to leave on a mission to serve our church.
