Hi I'm Maegan

I'm a potato-lovin' Idahoan, an artist and a clogger, a missionary in Tennessee, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up clogging. After 7 years of lessons, just before my high school Sophomore year, my coaches announced they would immediately be retiring from coaching! I knew how much clogging had helped me through school, and I thought of all the younger students who wouldn't be able to have that outlet, and so I took on the challenge of managing and operating the studio and teaching lessons! It was a fantastic experience. After I graduated, I took a clogging class at Brigham Young University-Idaho and loved it. Throughout high school I also recognized my passion for drawing, specifically drawing people. I explored that a lot, and after my mission in the South, I plan on returning to dancing and drawing classes, earning degrees in mental and physical therapy through those areas.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my parents made it clear that I had the choice whether or not to be baptized and continue on in the Church. Since my dad is a convert to the Church, they understood the importance of personal conviction in religion and made sure to expound it on me and my siblings. I followed each of my siblings' example and was baptized when I was eight, but I didn't fully know of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel until several years later, when I did as others encouraged and prayed to Heavenly Father, truly desiring to know. Who better to ask than God, the One who would never lie to me? Once I did that, there was no going back - it was impossible for me to deny that I had received an answer from my loving Father in Heaven, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's church once again established on the earth. Since receiving my answer, it hasn't been easy, per se, but as I continued to attend church services, pray, and read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, I have been able to continue to feel His love for me and recognize the everyday blessings He so regularly gives the world. In short, I'm a Mormon because I know it's the truth - Heavenly Father lives and loves us, Jesus Christ suffered, died, and rose again for us to return to our Father in Heaven and lives today, and through God's power Joseph Smith restored the Gospel that Christ established, the same Church that exists today.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission, though I was originally called to the Tennessee Nashville Mission! As a missionary, I help share the Gospel I love with people who have not yet experienced the pure joy that comes from it. I knock doors, do service activities, and help strengthen others' faith in Christ. I love the joy that comes to not only me, but to others as they learn of the Savior, their true worth, and their divine potential as beloved children of God.
