Hi I'm Lydia

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm a potter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying ceramics. I am the fifth of six children and I love my family. I love my niece and nephew and all of the babies in the whole world. I have grown up with many opportunities to enjoy the natural world around me. I enjoy playing tennis, swimming, and biking. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints since I was eight years old, from that time I have desired to be a missionary. I enjoy meeting new people and discovering what makes them special. Recently I received my mission call and I will be serving as a sister missionary in Italy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior. I know that Jesus Christ lives and cares for each of us. Through my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ I feel peace in my soul. Obeying the laws and commandments of the Gospel has brought me happiness and through its teachings I have a better perspective on life. As I live in accordance to the Gospel, I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I feel their comfort and their love. I love being a Mormon because the church is focused on living as the Savior did and serving everyone in my path.

How I live my faith

Every day I try to see those in the world around me as our Father in Heaven does. I try to love them and see the potential they possess regardless of current circumstances. I enjoy serving in my community through volunteering in fair trade centers, creating art for elementary schools, and being nice to strangers. Every Sunday I teach young adults more about the gospel in an hour long class. I prepare these lessons throughout the week and strive to understand what the Lord wants me to teach during my class.
