Hi I'm David

I am an ordinary guy. I was born in North Carolina. I cut trees for a living. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three children. I have four grandchildren and one great grandson. I have a Business Administration degree. I own and operate my own tree cutting business. I love being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church while I was serving my country in the Air Force. I was stationed overseas when I became friends with another airman. I became interested in the church as I attended activities there. I was challenged to read The Book of Mormon and to pray about what I read. I did this. The warmest, sweetest feeling came over me and I liked what I felt. I continued to read and study the Book of Mormon and attended other church meetings. I learned for myself that the book was the word of God. I became baptized a member and have been very happy since. I married my wife in the temple because it was there that she and I could have an eternal marriage, not just one for this time on earth. My family is sealed to me and my wife for all time and eternity.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being a poll worker during elections. I enjoy talking with people and helping them do their civic duty. I like to visit my home teaching families and help them whenever I can. I have worked with the Boy Scouts in my church. I enjoy serving as a temple worker for our local temple. I try to live my life so others will ask why I am so happy and then I can share the gospel with them.
