Hi I'm Gabby

I grew up in Utah. I love to play the piano, be outdoors, and spend time with my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and I just finished my freshman year of college at Brigham Young University. I am the oldest of six kids. I have four younger sisters and one younger brother. Some of my favorite things to do are play the piano, sing, do anything that involves going outside - from playing a game of soccer to roasting marshmallows over a campfire - and spending time with my friends and family. I am a firm believer that hot chocolate and popcorn can make any day a better day. I have been called to serve as a full-time representative of Jesus Christ as a missionary in Uruguay.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and knows me by name. He knows each of His children personally and individually. I know that He has a plan for each one of us and that we are on this Earth to be tried and tested. As hard as life can get sometimes, I am comforted by the knowledge I have that my Heavenly Father is aware of me and that He knows exactly what I am going through. I know that He sent His Son to die for us on the cross and to atone for our sins and sorrows so that we can return and live with Him again. I know that through the power of the Atonement that we can repent, be comforted, and keep striving to become perfect like Christ is. I know that He lives again and that He loves us. This gospel has been an anchor to me in times of trouble, as well as in times of triumph and gratitude. Through every hardship I am reminded that Christ has walked the same path that I have had to and that there is always someone who knows exactly how I feel. I have turned to Him in prayer countless times looking for peace and comfort and He is always there. Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are in the details of our lives and I know that if we only look for them, no matter how hard or easy life is at the time, that we will be able to find them and be thankful for the little things that make life better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by inviting others to come unto Christ while serving as a full-time representative of Jesus Christ as a missionary in Uruguay. I am leaving behind my family, friends, school, work, and just about everything else to serve my brothers and sisters in Uruguay. If it were not for my belief in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, I would not be doing such a hard thing. I want to share the joy, happiness, and comfort that this gospel brings me with everyone I can. Challenges are inevitable, and not everyone will accept the message that I am going to share, but I know that the few people that will accept it and come to see the truth of the gospel will make my sacrifice worth it.
