Hi I'm Paul Valencia

I'm Paul i was born and raised in Texas. i am a convert and love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I am an avid martial arts enthusiast, i have practiced brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay-thai, judo, and i have also been an amateur boxer.I also enjoy music very much. I play the guitar and have been for about 5 years now some of the styles i enjoy are classical, jazz, blues, rock and roll, heavy metal, and all types of rock. i also enjoy the art of landscaping and lawn care it brings me much peace while i work and satisfaction when i am done. Hablo espa~ol fue mi primer idioma. Und ich versuchen deutsch zu lernen.

Why I am a Mormon

i was first introduced to the restored gospel when i was 15 years old. 2 missionaries knocked on my door and asked if i wanted to hear their message, and i said yes. it was then that i learned about the book of mormon,Joseph smith, and the restored church. it took awhile before i stepped foot in an actual lds chapel due to my family strongly opposing it, but after i attended my first church service i knew then that i didn't want to go anywhere else. I waited patiently for two years and a half years for the the chance to be baptized since i was underage to decide for myself. i cannot express the joy i felt the day of my baptism it was unlike any other feeling i had ever felt. And now, i strive to keep those covenants i made at baptism because i get to feel the same feelings as when i was baptized. This gospel has brought me so much happiness that i could not get anywhere else and that is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

i am a young single adult and i live the gospel by going to church on Sunday. currently do not have a calling but have served as Secretary before. I also like to do this thing called "hometeaching" where we go and teach families in our congregation in their homes. It is an experience that helps me feel the spirit and allows me to serve the people in my ward. I also attend a service on Wednesdays called institute where young single adults learn important gospel principles to prepare them for the next phase of their lives.
