Hi I'm Lane

I grew up in Hawaii. I'm 19 years old. I've been called to serve a mission in Suva, Fiji. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large and very musically inclined family. I play a wide variety of musical instruments and I sing, so music is a great passion of mine. I'll be serving a mission in Suva, Fiji for the next two years. My brother returned from the same mission two years ago, and I have another brother currently serving in the Philippines. Upon my return from Fiji, I plan to attend BYUH and major in psychology.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My testimony used to be based off of my father's. You know, the church must be true because dad said it is. I live by these rules because dad said we should. Having grown, having matured and realized the true importance of this church and its values, I have gained a personal testimony. I am a Mormon because I love God, and God has blessed me in more ways than one can count through my beliefs and my actions. We believe that one of the most Godly things you can do, is service. Heartfelt service to your fellow man will not only brighten and strengthen their spirit, but yours as well. Nothing can compare to one's graciousness for an act of service you've committed for them. I am a Mormon because the church allows me so many incredible opportunities to serve people. I am a Mormon because I know it to be true. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of man on the cross and in Gethsemane. I know that God and his beloved Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove. I know that Joseph translated and wrote the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon to be true, because I have learned many great life lessons from it. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive to be the best example that I can to my younger siblings. I used to teach varying age groups in the youth, and I am currently a ward missionary in the Young Single Adults branch. I go out with the missionaries as often as I can, and every opportunity that I have to be with them is always a great experience and testimony builder.
