Hi I'm Ellyse

I am the oldest of six children. I love to hike and enjoy nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I believe that music has power beyond the spoken word and that it can carry the message of the heart. I used to retreat to the basement of my grandma's house and bang away on the piano keys, singing made up words at the top of my lungs. I eventually began piano lessons, and after many years of learning, I was given the opportunity to teach. I have now been teaching for four and half years. Watching students eyes fill with light when something is understood and seeing their hard work of practicing pay off is so rewarding. They are developing talents that will continue to bless their lives and those around them. I have come to learn that music is a gift that keeps on giving.

Why I am a Mormon

Just like music is a gift that keeps on giving, the gospel is the greatest gift that keeps on giving. It is difficult to find happiness in an increasing world of confusion and bombarding social media messages. But the gospel brings happiness. And not only happiness, but ever increasing joy and fulfillment, knowing that I am a child of a loving Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I have received a personal witness that the message of the gospel is true. I am a Mormon because the gospel brings true joy and peace in my life. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I know His way is the only way that will lead to happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing simple things everyday, such as prayer and scripture study. Doing these things everyday help me to learn more and draw closer to my Heavenly Father and feel His love.
