Hi I'm Lary C. & wife Marianne Walker

We live in Weiser, Idaho. We have raised 11 children and will serve a Senior MLS Mission in Wichita, Kansas. We are Mormons.

About Me

I worked an an Attorney 40 years in our small Idaho town. My wife & I raised 11 children living on a small farm about 5 miles out of town. I have a Doctorate Degree in Law from the University of Idaho. My wife and I both also attended BYU Utah. While raising our children we have always enjoyed being active in the Mormon Church and have been active in Music, Sports, Drama and service in our Community. My wife plays the piano and we love singing together and with our children. We had 6 boys and 5 girls who all enjoyed being involved in church and school activities. They are all married to wonderful spouses and have grown our family by adding 64 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. During the 46 years we have lived in Weiser, Idaho, we have had fun participating in many school and community activities. All 6 boys played football, participated in basketball and track as well as earning their Eagle Scout Award. Because we lived in a farming area, they also learned to work The 5 girls were also active in Track, Basketball, Volleyball and Tennis. In addition to sports we have always supported the music program in the school and community.

Why I am a Mormon

We are Mormons for several reasons! First of all we come from families who were early converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The testimonies of our ancestors have been handed down from Generation to Generation as stories of faith have been re-told. We believe that strong families who believe in Jesus Christ and listen to prophets as they bring us the word of God will be strong as families and be a strength to the area were they live. We try to follow the example of our parents and search the teachings that keep us on a path of happiness. We love being "Mormons"! Our faith helps us be happy and love our children, neighbors and all those around us.

How I live my faith

We live our faith by serving in the various organizations of our church. Some of the service we have been involved in recently has been among the youth of the church. We have served together to help teach and organize the Young Single members between the ages of 18-30 in our area. Some of the activities we have organized are service oriented activities to help them learn the joy of service and to communicate with each other and those in need. We have also had fun with them such as White Water Rafting on the Salmon River and going camping. From fall of 2011 thru spring of 2013 I served as Assistant Legal Counsel in Moscow, Russia for the LDS ( Mormon) church. While serving there I was able to teach the American Justice System to 5 different Law Schools in Crimea (near the Black Sea) and also help to establish a legally organized branch of our church in Turkey. Service in our church brings us great joy and satisfaction. We also enjoy the opportunity of visiting as "home teachers" to members in our area who desire to learn more about gospel topics. We visit them on a monthly basis and strengthen one another. Over the years we have enjoyed teaching the youth and children as well as adults in our church.
