Hi I'm Kaden

I grew up in Maryland, Germany and Utah. I'm a programmer. I will serve a mission in Frankfurt, Germany 2016-2018. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an 18 year old. I'm the oldest child. I have four younger siblings, two of which are adopted. They make my day! I was homeschooled for most of my elementary, middle and high school years. This helped me pursue my interests, which include computer programming, foreign languages and sitting down with a good book! Last year, I got to live in Germany with my family, where I had the amazing opportunity to learn German and meet many wonderful people. I'm going to attend Brigham Young University, but first, I've been asked to serve as a full-time missionary in the Frankfurt, Germany area: I can't wait to go! I'll serve there for two years, and then will begin college. I'm planning to study Computer Science and Mathematics while I'm there. We were a foster family for several years, during which I was able to take care of several wonderful foster siblings and do my best to help them succeed! Oh, and I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I've seen how it affects my life. I've noticed that when I follow the commandments taught by the leaders of this church, God blesses me. For example, I've noticed that on days that I read the scriptures, my day goes better: my attitude is better, problems seem smaller, and I appreciate the people around me more. I can feel the Spirit working in my heart. Another example is prayer. When I pray with real focus, truly trusting the Lord, and asking God for help in making important decisions, He has always answered. A couple times, that answer has seemed like the worse option, but as I have followed them with trust, it became clear that my Heavenly Father knows the best choice for my life. It's because of changes and blessings in my life like this that I know that this church is God's church, and that it's true. I hope that you will also do this, and try following the teachings of this wonderful church, set up by Christ, Himself. If you do this, it will make a difference in your life, just like it does in mine.

How I live my faith

I love serving in our church. I volunteer as an organist for my congregation: I play on the first Sunday of each month, and spend the rest of the month preparing! I also volunteer as a family history consultant. I love to help people find their ancestors, learn of their family, and deepen their roots! Family history is really important to me. I feel a special connection to my ancestors as I learn about their names and lives. I also like to participate in my youth group, where we have clean, wholesome fun.
