Hi I'm Caden

I grew up in in southeastern Idaho. I am an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America. I am a musician. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to snowboard. There isn't much that compares to gliding down a mountain past snow-covered trees. Mountains are very beautiful to me and, although I'm not very avid, I like to enjoy them in many ways other than snowboarding. Music is something that is also beautiful to me. I sing and I can play a few instruments fairly well. For example, I can play trombone, bassoon, trumpet, and baritone (both treble clef and bass clef). I have been involved in a few special opportunities that involve music like many honor bands and and an "All State" choir. I love to listen to the instruments playing or the voices singing in advanced music. There are a lot of things that intrigue me with music. I am an Eagle Scout and I really enjoyed the process. I like to utilize skills that I have, and I often create an idea or even an object that helps me achieve something. Because of this trait, I really like mechanical engineering and I hope to become an aerospace engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is the only true church on earth today. I know that we are blessed to have a living prophet to guide us. This gospel has brought me so much comfort and joy because of the hope that it provides. The knowledge that we are all God's loved children helps me to feel better at times when I feel like I can never be great. The atonement that our Savior provided is such a powerful tool to relieve guilt and the burdens that our sins force upon us. I am thankful that I can become all that our Heavenly Father wants me to be and that I am not destined to fail. Not one person, save it be our Redeemer, has walked this earth in perfection, so the atonement is something I know I need. I am a Mormon because, through the ordinances and covenants we make within our churches, our temples, and our lives, I can live in the Celestial Kingdom as an exalted being, and not only that, but live there with my eternal family.

How I live my faith

I have been going to church all my life. It has always been something that I did, and starting when I was about twelve, it became something I desired. I love the gospel. I love the comfort it brings me. I love all the things it has taught me. I love that it has helped shape my life to become a little more than I could have been on my own. This gospel has blessed my life. I have four younger siblings who I hope realize, as I do, the blessings we are given. I have done my best to be an example to them. I have had a few callings within my ward that have helped me grow, and I hope that those I served know my care for them. It breaks my heart to see anyone turn away from this gospel, because I feel that this is the biggest blessing of my life and that it could be theirs as well. I have attended seminary all four years of high school and the things I have learned have really been amazing to me. The lessons that were taught not only gave me clarity to questions I had, but also gave me hope, comfort, and a desire to live in the ways that our Heavenly Father wants us to live.
