Hi I'm Maxwell Williams

Texas born and Spain bound, future oncologist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love aviation, cooking, economics, medicine, and most of all my family. I plan to enroll at Brigham Young University in the fall of 2018. I initiated the UNICEF club at my high school, earned my Eagle Scout award, and will serve a mission in Málaga, Spain in August.

Why I am a Mormon

I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and envelop myself in His Church because I desire to be with my mother again. My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I started Kindergarten and, after a very courageous battle, passed away my first year in middle school. She, through her example here and beyond, has been an inspiration for me. She is my motivation to live the commandments, not just follow them, to love and serve with all my heart, and not to just got through the motions. I have experienced extreme grief in my life and because of that, my testimony has wavered but the principle of the Plan of Salvation has always remained in my heart. I know that we all must serve, love, and obey to the very best of our ability to return to God and achieve eternal life. As I continue to chart my course in this life, holding fast to the word of God, I know I will return to my Father in Heavens' arms and be able to give my mother a long and overdue hug.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving to the best of my ability, emulating the Saviors' great example and heeding his greatest commandment, "...love one another; as I have loved you." The church has afforded me the ultimate opportunity to lead the young men as a youth leader and representative. This calling has led me places and given me experiences I can only describe as holy and very special. I have been able to serve my fellow youth and others around my community through such callings and responsibilities placed upon my shoulders through my church service which I feel has been ordained of God.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Maxwell Williams
Jesus Christ is our only true savior, He has paved the way for us to follow Him and to return home. The resurrection was the pivotal point, at which the atonement had been completed and physical death had been abolished. This is important to know because when we die, we have not succumbed to the awful future that would await us without the atonement; instead we wait a glorious reuniting with loved ones and our Elder Brother in the light of our Fathers’ kingdom.
