Hi I'm Wendell

I was born in Hong Kong, raised in Singapore, I served in the Navy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an amatuer writer and poet, and I maintain a blog where I upload some of my works. I also love videography, photography, music and I enjoy reading just as much as I enjoy writing. I have a very tight-knit family that I love, and friends that I can trust whenever the sky seems to fall. I like to take long, slow walks to relax and feel the world around me, hear the birds chirp, see everyone else hurry along their own paths, and allow time to slow down around me, just for a moment.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts, hence I was bornand raised in a Mormon family. While I have been blessed to be able to grow up under the guidance of my parents and the Church, I ultimately decided on my own that I want to be a member of the Church, because of the goodness of its teachings and the light that I can feel every time I step into a chapel, like I am in a good place. All the instruction that I've received throughout my life has helped me forge a strong moral compass that I know is right, true, and will not fail me in hard times. I have been blessed to receive all that I have been given to help me in my trials in life and lift me up when my spirit is weak. I know that this Church is true, and I know that this is where I belong, and this Church will be where I will remain.

How I live my faith

I am an Assistant Clerk in my Ward, and sometimes things can be a little busy and take up a lot of time. But I love going to Church every Sunday, to take a break from the rest of the week and "recharge" my spiritual batteries and get ready to tackle the new week ahead. I also love going to Church activities as they help me strengthen my friendships with others in Church and meet any new, unfamiliar faces and make some new friends!
