Hi I'm Spencer Mitton

Hi, I'm Spencer, I'm an Alaskan, and a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in Alaska my whole life and it's the best place on Earth. I love exploring it while biking, running, skiing, and hiking. I am currently serving a full time mission in Richmond Virginia, after which I will resume attending Brigham Young University to study mechanical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

Anyone who earnestly seeks the truth will find God's eternal plan in it's fulness in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, restored his gospel, and translated the Book of Mormon by the gift and power of God. The opportunities to serve and feel the love of God are abundant in this Church because he is at it's head, and it holds his sacred priesthood power. The happiness I experience being a Mormon is unparalleled to anything I could feel anywhere else. It brings lasting happiness that doesn't dissipate with time or circumstance.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day, trying to be more Christlike, and serving. Going to the temple is also one of the biggest ways I live my faith. I'm blessed to have a temple just down the street in Alaska, and worshiping there helps me feel the spirit and turn my thoughts toward my savior.
