Hi I'm Ruby Jensen

I joined the LDS Church when I was 21, in California. I was married to my husband in the Oakland Temple and we have 5 children.

About Me

My life is a adventure, with 5 children and 11 grandchildren and lots of interests, my husband of 45 years and I keep very busy. I enjoy oil painting and working in our yard and enjoying the beauty around us. We have been blessed with good heath and enjoy traveling the country to visit children as well as traveling the world. We served an 18 month mission to the Joseph Smith Birthplace 7 years ago and are now getting ready to labor in the Thailand Bangkok Mission next month.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church at 21 years old after my Grandmother, Aunt and Uncle became members. I was looking for more meaning in my life and recognized the truth of the gospel when I was taught by the missionaries and went to church. I see over and over again how having the church in my live has blessed me. I am thankful for my many blessings and pray I can be an example to my children and those around me. I have a testimony of our savior Jesus and of the Church, of President Monson and the leaders of the Church and their council to us.

How I live my faith

The Mormon faith is a way of life. The truths the church teaches leads you to a more fulfilled and meaningful existence. When I see the problem and struggles others are having, I wish I could give them the joy I have because of the way I live my life. Some of my grown children have chosen to live without the gospel in their lives and it brakes my heart to see them suffer. I try to be the example of Christ and the church, without judging them. I pray that they will come back to the life they were taught as children in our home.
