Hi I'm Jake Willmore

I live in Cache Valley Utah, I am going to serve a mission in Lima Perú in July 2016. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live Utah and I am 18 years old, and will be graduating from High School May 2016. I will be serving a mission in Peru July of 2016. I love to camp, ski, mountain bike, fish, hunt, and pretty much anything else outdoors. I love to spend time with my friends and family as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church but I never really became converted until I was 17, I believed in everything I was taught but I just hadn't tried to recieve a personal witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I had a goal of completing the Book of Mormon before I would be baptizing my young cousin, but about two weeks before the service I recieved a phone call from my aunt telling me that another family member would be performing the service. I was bitter at this point and could not figure out why this opportunity was being taken from me. So I stopped reading for a week or so. But the day before the baptism I felt a very overwhelming feeling that I needed to finish the Book of Mormon. I was able to finish it very late the night before the service, and I began to pray to my Heavenly Father to allow me to know the truthfulness of the gospel, nothing came that night so I went to bed. The baptism was wonderful and while my dad was conferring the Spirit unto my little cousin is when I recieved my witness, I began to cry tears of joy as my soul was filled with humility. I knew that my Heavenly Father was aware of me and that he loves me, but also I know that the Book of Mormon is true and also that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this Earth. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

The best way I live my faith is through service. I love to help people and to make them smile. Everything Christ taught us pretty much centered around loving and helping others. There is no feeling in the world better than the feeling I recieve when I help others in everyday life.
