Hi I'm Trey

I love track, I love life, and I love being Mormon.

About Me

I love living life. I love being outside and experiencing all that our Father has to offer us. I am a track athlete, running the 100 and 200 meter dashes. I love to swing dance, I can cut almost any rug. I love my family. Family is the most important thing in the world to me. I've been born to goodly parents who have taught me to follow God and to respect others. I was raised to see everyone as a son or daughter of God, and with this perspective, I can develop greater love for all those I meet. Love. This is the most important thing we need as human beings. Love.

Why I am a Mormon

From a very young age I've had a feeling that there was something greater then myself out there. With time I came to know that I do have a Heavenly Father who loves me. So much so that He sent His only begotten son to die for me. It is because of Jesus Christ that I can change. That I don't have to stay the same person I was yesterday, tomorrow. I can become. I am becoming and I will continue to become, if I follow the example of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the New Hampshire Manchester mission!!!!!! I get to serve other people every day all day long for 2 years of my life, testifying of Jesus Christ at every opportunity that arises before me. If you ever see 2 guys in white shirts and ties with black and white name tags on them, or 2 gals dressed in nice clothing with similar name tags, you should stop and say hello!

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Trey
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the suffering that Jesus felt for all of our sins and mistakes. It is also the suffering that He felt for us when we feel sad or alone or bad in any other way. It is because of this suffering that we don't have to suffer for forever. Jesus Christ overcame all that is bad. He overcame all of our specific challenges. While it is impossible to fully comprehend what exactly the Atonement entails, we can know for ourselves that Jesus Christ made it possible for us to repent (change) and to be happy. I know this for myself and you can too if you ask God. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Trey
Grace is a fundamental doctrine of the Mormon church. We know that, "it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do" (2 Nephi 25:23). This means that without grace we could never be saved, however it also means that we must follow Jesus Christ and through our actions, show that we are willing to accept the Grace that Jesus wants so dearly to offer us.
