Hi I'm Kassidy

I'm from Blackfoot, Idaho. I am serving a full time mission in Jacksonville, Florida. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am considered a junior in college. I am working on a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, and hope to be able to work as a lab tech somewhere alter in life. I not only love biology and the human body, but I also love the arts. I enjoy painting and drawing, as well as singing. I was in my high school choir all four years and participated in a few different plays, and competitions. I also wrote a couple of the plays performed at my high school as well. I moved for about 6 years of my childhood, which truly helped me become the person I am now. I also enjoy reading science-fantasy fiction novels. My favorite novelist is Brandon Sanderson. The most important thing in my life is my family. I am the eldest of 5 children. Our favorite thing to do together is watch superhero/action movies, such as Captain America, Iron Man, and Antman.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church. I think that the main reason I've stayed in the church is the teachings concerned with the family. I love my family, and I love even more so the idea that we can be together forever. When it comes to the other teachings, they all seem to make sense. It makes sense that there is a God out there. If this God is the Father of our spirits, then it would make sense that he loves us, and that we are created in his image. It would make sense that he would create a plan that would give us the opportunity to have everything that he has. His plan just makes sense. It makes sense that God would have to come up with a way to balance the scales of us not being perfect. I guess the only thing that doesn't really make sense is the perfect love that Christ would love each and everyone of us so much that would be willing to help us balance the scales. It may not make sense, but I know of his love. I have felt the Love that my Savior has for me, an imperfect being who is always making mistakes. He still sees the good in me, and sees what I can become. I know that this love not only is for me, but is for all of God's children. That everything that God and Christ can see in me, he sees in everyone.

How I live my faith

Being in between semesters at school, there is not much that I do when it comes to church. I do help my mom and my sister. My mom is in charge of the cub scouts in our ward, and my sister is a teacher for the 6 year old class on Sundays. I also try to help my mother stay awake during church. :) I am currently helping and inviting others to come unto Christ by serving a full time mission in Jacksonville, Florida.
