Hi I'm Sarah

I'm from Idaho! I love serving others! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a Public Relations/Communications student at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I am also minoring in photography, and love taking photos as a hobby! I come from a very diverse background. My mother is from Pakistan and is a convert to the Mormon faith from Islam. My father is from Utah, and served 21 years in the U.S. Military, including a deployment to Iraq. I am the second oldest of six children in my family, and my older brother Caleb, 21, has autism and epilepsy. And most people would never guess, but my three youngest siblings are all under the age of five, so we are all very spread out! I have been blessed to been raised in the gospel, but have also been taught to have an open mind. My parents encouraged me to find out for myself how I feel about the Book of Mormon, the prophet, and the rest of the gospel. Lets just say, I love the gospel, I know it has been given to us in these latter days to help us draw closer to God, and I know it is true with all of my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Book of Mormon is true. The spirit and guidance that I get from reading it is incomparable to anything else. The church has brought me peace, a reason for living, a reason for loving, and the ability to start over, even when I've made mistakes. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

I love going to the Institute of Religion at my university to take classes and participate in fun activities, like dances, dinners, and sports events! I also love serving in my neighborhood to reach out to people who aren't of my faith, because I know everyone is a son and daughter of God. I have volunteered often at the local Salvation Army, community events, and area events to better my community and strengthen inter-faith relationships. I LOVE my community and all the people that live here!
