Hi I'm Emily

I am from Virginia, lived in Cedar City Utah after graduating highschool, and am serving a mission in Charlotte North Carolina!

About Me

I was a MAJOR theatre nerd in school, and quickly became a stage manager in highschool. I was also in the Health and Science Governors Academy- I want to become a Speech Language Pathologist. I am the youngest, and only girl in my family- I have 2 brothers. My favorite hobby is reading and hiking/camping. I also love to watch movies with my mom!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have chosen a life that is what I believe Christ would want for me. I believe my true conversion began my senior year of high school. My parents were getting a divorce, so my mom and I were living within small means. By having this simplicity in my life, I realized what is truly important in my life - the gospel! I know for myself that the church is true. It is filled with answers, and filled with comfort and peace. It has guided me through my darkest times, and biggest fears.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being kind to others, and striving to act as Christ would. Previously, I was a member of my young single adult ward's activities committee. We planned activities outside of the regular church meetings- such as ward game nights. Currently, I am serving a mission in Charlotte North Carolina.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The atonement is the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The suffering Christ went through was for each person's sins and sorrows - past, present, and future! Christ then died on a cross, to know the pain of death. Then, He rose from the dead and continued to teach. It's also the most important part of my life! Because with out the knowledge of the atonement, without knowing the impact it has in MY LIFE, I would feel pointless. Show more Show less
