Hi I'm Matt

I speak Arabic. I love Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

You could say I don't really have a home. Throughout my life, I've lived in Europe, Central America, Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. I love playing the guitar, and studying languages. I speak Spanish, and currently I'm learning Arabic. I'm getting my undergrad in linguistics and with a minor in Arabic. I don't know quite what I want to do after graduating, but I know I want to help people, whether in my immediate community or throughout the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the true path to happiness. I know this because I've felt a difference in my life as I strive to live by the teachings of Christ. I hope one day to be able to return to live in the presence of my Heavenly Father and with my family and those I love, and I know this is possible through Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I was a full-time missionary for two years in Mexico, where I taught people the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that they are children of God. I now serve voluntarily in my local church congregation organizing activities and service events that are held on Monday nights. I rely on my Heavenly Father for help daily by praying to Him each day and whenever I need it. I'm not perfect, but I try to do what is right and be kind to those around me, whether I know them or not.
