Hi I'm Mila Cutler

I am number 7 of 12 children. I grew up on the border of Mexico and the US. I am a wife and grandmother. I love to quilt.

About Me

Although I was born in Texas, I grew up in Mexico right across the border. I like to say that I am the youngest of the oldest and the oldest of the youngest. I am old enough to remember our life in Mexico unlike my younger siblings. Spanish is my native language. English was difficult to learn. I am a stay at home mother. I love to quilt and even had the opportunity to own a quilt shop. I also love to garden and play with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I love Jesus Christ. I know that he is the Savior of the world. I am a Mormon because the gospel helps me to be a better person. I have learned through the years that if I try to do what is right I am blessed. I know that I am a daughter of a God who loves me and that before I came to live on this earth I lived with him in heaven. I know that I am a part of an eternal family. That gives me hope. I want my children and grandchildren to live with me forever and we can do that by being faithful and true to what we believe.

How I live my faith

I had wonderful parents who taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ. They lived lives that were exemplary. They taught me that I had to gain my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I try to emulate my Savior by being a good example to my children and grandchildren. I recently was able to teach children how to sing in Primary. We were able to sing songs about the Savior and learn more about him. I loved serving with the children. My husband and I have also tutored children in reading at the local elementary school. I believe the Savior loved the children. I also try and serve the sisters with whom I visit. I try to listen and be there when need me. I served a mission with my husband in Nauvoo, IL. in the temple there. It was an amazing experience.
